I am moving from private practice into the public system. Is the process different?
Mostly in structure. Public health roles lean more heavily on written criteria and panels. The resume and selection criteria services both start from your real evidence, whichever system you are coming from.
Do you have a healthcare-specific guide like the APS handbook?
Not yet. Today the selection criteria service and the general resume and cover letter guides cover healthcare applications. A dedicated guide is on our list, and it will not appear for sale here until it exists.
Is my Ahpra registration CV the same document as my job resume?
No. We read all 149 forms on Ahpra's legacy PDF forms page in July 2026, and thirteen of the fifteen National Boards ask for a signed and dated CV on at least one of them. That CV accounts for every period since you qualified, with gaps over three months explained and your full registration history listed. An employment resume is selective and carries no declaration. If your board's form asks for a CV, build it as its own document.
Do I write Ahpra registered on my resume if I am a sonographer?
No. The Medical Radiation Practice Board has three divisions of practice: diagnostic radiography, radiation therapy and nuclear medicine technology. Sonography is not one of them. Sonographer accreditation runs through the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry instead.
How specific does my registration line need to be on my resume?
More specific than a job title alone. In our coded sample of Australian healthcare advertisements, most registered-profession ads stated the registration line as the profession, the specific board, and a currency or status qualifier together, division included for a nursing role. Matching that precision answers the question the advertisement is actually asking.
